Ayurvedic Medicines in Critical Care

Ayurvedic medicines can be used for the emergency care of critically ill patients with very good results. For example, patients with serious burns usually have complications related to sepsis and kidney failure. These complications can be prevented by giving these patients simple herbal extracts of Gokshur (Tribulus terrestris), Amalaki (Emblica officinalis) and Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia).
Similarly, patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome can be given medicines like Pippali (Piper longum), Yashtimadhuk (Glycerrhiza glabra), Vasa (Adhatoda vasika), and Sitopaladi Powder.
These simple medicines can prevent serious complications, save lives, and speeden up the recovery process.
