The Ayurvedic treatment of leukemia consists of giving medicines which act on the bone marrow and help the marrow to start producing normal white blood cells. Medicines are also required to remove the cancer cells from the body, and to treat the complications of different types of leukemia, especially bleeding, increased infections, and bone pains. Children require more or less the same medicines as adults, albeit in small doses based on body weight. In addition, it is preferable to treat children with mainly herbal medicines, which have a better safety profile.
